PhD Work (Current)
I am using the Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager Surface Reflectance product to monitor tropical peatland water table depths using the Optical Trapezoid Model (OPTRAM). I am also evaluating the capability of water table depth for forecasting tropical peatland burned area.
Master's Work
For this project, I used carbon flux data from the AmeriFlux network to compare year by year carbon uptake variability and determine relevant drivers between nearby forests and wetlands. A total of eight sites were used with up to two decades of observations per site.
