Fulbright Experience
In 2023, I was selected for a Fulbright award to conduct research in Malaysia. This award gave me the unique opportunity to do fieldwork abroad while also experiencing the vibrant culture and traditions of Malaysia.

Research
My research in Malaysia involved taking soil and soil gas samples along with quantifying environmental variables at three peatland sites. The purpose of this work is to determine how disturbance affects tropical peatland variables.
Conferences and Seminars
Throughout my 10 months in Malaysia, I gave talks at multiple conferences and seminars to inform local scientists of my work on tropical peatlands.
